02/03/2011: "Cyclone Yasi and eDoc"

Yasi (31k image)
eDoc survived the night at Half Moon Bay marina. Those at Hinchinbrook Marina did not fare as well with many boats destroyed as the pontoons floated off the top of the piles with the storm surge. In the pic note how high we still are on the piles - during the peak of the cyclone last night the pontoons were at the white caps. Saved by a few centimeters. It is now pouring rain, bursting lighting and pounding our senses with thunder. At least the wind is down to gale force.
