03/22/2011: "Second race, second win"

Sunday was a great day to test the Number 2 spinnaker. Without a launch sock kite handling is a bit more challenging. under ten knots of breeze was perfect and everything went without a hitch. The crew for the day was Estelle, Michael and Chris. Good training for the big race next year?? Half Moon Bay Yacht Club ran a 'mid march multihull mad dash' - 23 nm's around Double island, Number 11 marker and back the to Club. We finished 45 min ahead of the second boat. Averaged 12 knots on the reach in 6-8 knots true wind. Nothing like a yacht race to blow the office cobwebs away (as if we ever have time at the Cairns 24 Hour medical centre to grow cobwebs.....)
