08/18/2008: "Another day at sea"
Although we were 'stuck' at Ureparapara with 30 knots howling overhead it was no reason not to celebrate Gavin's 49th birthday. The celebration was made all the more happy after the retrieval of our fortress anchor which had chafed the nylon rode through on a reef. Our plan was to be at the Ambryn ROM festival 200 miles south but when your life is at the will of the weather then you make the best of what evolves.
