06/30/2006: "Away away"

Chaotic Harmony has cleared customs and is departing for the Lousiade group (far eastern PNG) as a stepping stone toward Fiji. This is the first weather envelope that is half reasonable in the past month so we are making a break for it. The blog will be a bit idle until we get to an internet cafe somewhere down the track. The kids are all excited as now the serious stuff starts. We have had our first safety lessons were it really matters. No more long showers, lights go off when you leave a room and nobody goes on deck without someone knowing.
This is an exciting step for us. It has been four years since a serious ocean crossing and now we are doing it with young children in tow. There is a sense of anticipation. We have prepared for the worst and now are hoping for the best.
Into the blue...

Hi Ya All,
Happy & safe sailing, just started a new job so have been head down bottom up. Glad to see you're off and on your way. Ant thinks he may have sold his bus, so we may move to the big Aust.
Will know more re: that in a week. Love & hugs all round, Susan xxx
