03/29/2013: "Sail the Nullarbor"

In 48 hours the Le Sueur family and Michael Leitner will start our 'Sail the Nullarbor' expedition.
We plan to sail across the Nullarbor Desert. 740km of an arid limestone plateau that extendes from the Great Australian Bight to the Great Sandy Desert.
We have three bookmarks (land yachts), two land kiteboards and a kite buggy. The former use a mast and sail, the latter three are driven by power kites. We have a land rover support vehicle with an offroad camper and supplies for 10 days mid desert. Should all not go well we are carrying plenty of puncture repair gear, a recovery winch and lines, carbon fibre repair tape, sail repair cloth and a satphone and Emergency position indicating radio beacon.
Updates and pics will be done when we can.
Why? For the adventure of it.
