08/01/2007: "Bananas and luck"

On some yachts bananas are meant to be bad luck. Today, when Catherine went into Lomolomo to get bread from the village baker the chief said he had some bananas for her. We now have plenty of bananas! We motor-sailed over to Susui island (no wind) and caught a lovely 13kg giant trevellay. Once anchored we went searching for the illusive landlocked saltwater lagoon that was meant to have turtles in it. SUCCESS (pic's to follow). Walking the sand shallows later we scored a bucket full of rock oysters, saw octopus, giant conch and stingrays. Bananas have always been good luck on Chaotic Harmony!
